Description
This is our “Sierra” design. This mantel / shelf is made from knotty alder which has open knots and swirled graining and is absolutely my favorite material to work with, then we add rope trim, a very large 5 1/2″ crown mold, distressing and glazing. The corbels are 9 layers wide creating a rich striping effect. Each Sierra and set of corbels are made one at a time so no two are alike. Originally I designed this shelf for my own home, but with so many friends and visitors asking for one of their own we’ve now included it as a standard style in our product line. There is nothing meek or timid about it’s lines, it definitely makes a statement and is guaranteed to get noticed.
Finish choices: Dark Coffee Glaze, Dark Walnut Glaze, Black Sand Through, White Sand Through
The Sierra mantel and corbels include everything just as you see it, completely distressed, glazed and finished with a clear top coat. Everything needed for hanging including detailed instructions is included. Other woods, finish colors and no distressing options are also available, please feel free to call if you have ANY questions.
